- 2. God asked Israel to go forward and Worship and obey him. What form does worship take in your life each week.
- 3. God lead Israel out of Egypt to the promise land . This two week trip took 40 years. What does that tell us about Israel? What does that tell us about God? What might we apply to our lives from this journey?

Easter Sunday April 9th
Last Lessons – April 9, 2023 – EASTER SUNDAY
- Last Easter we meet in the park together…..in the last year what has God
most impressed you with or taught you; how have you seen him working in
your life? - What were your thoughts during the message today? Do you think Jesus is
sharing another parable or Future History. What are the ramifications of
this belief? - In what ways might we best fulfill the teachings of Jesus from this parable
in our lives Today? - Both the Righteous and those on the Left asked the same question, “When
did we see you Hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you something to
drink. When did we see you naked and clothed you or in prison and came to
visit you? Why do you think each group asked these questions? What might
have their intentions been? - How do you understand the two different ending places for these two
groups? - Looking at Easter as a new beginning…..what is an area of your life that you
hope to Grow in, change or allow God to mold in new ways this year? - How might we be lifting you up in pray this week?

2. Does it surprise you that Jesus spends his last public Sermon clearly laying
out the Hypocrisy of the Religious Leaders of his day? What does this make
you ponder, what are the take aways for you from this?
3. Jesus says Do what the Pharisees tell you; but do not do what they do?
What does he mean? How would one follow this direction?
4. How would you define Hypocrite? Where do we most struggle with it
today?
5. Read Matthew 23: 13 and 15:
13 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the
door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter,
nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
15 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over
land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make
them twice as much a child of hell as you are.
What are the practical implications of these verses for us? What things
might we want to avoid when sharing the Kingdom Life with another?
6. How can we make sure as a “church” that we stay focused on the “inside of
the dish and not just cleaning up the outside?”

5. Matthew 5:23-24 reads, “ 23 “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and
there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, 24 leave your gift
there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your
gift.
Is there ever a time you should just forget about an offense or does this
verse teach us to always confront/or reach out to.

2. In Today’s Scripture Jesus taught with a parable. In Matthew 13 Jesus
disciples ask him why he teaches in parables…. He responds:
“Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to
you, but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an
abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from
them. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables:
“Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.”
What does this mean?
3. What would you say is the single message Jesus is trying to deliver here in
Matthew 22’s parable?
4. Vs. 10 Says, “And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom
they found, both bad and good. So, the wedding hall was filled with guests.”
What is Jesus trying to teach us here?
