Questions for Palm Sunday:

  1. What is God been teaching you this week?

    week that might be a blessing for others to know about?
  3. What questions came up from the message today?
  4. When you first came to Christ, what were you encouraged to be intentional about?
  5. What are the ways that God has allowed you to use your gifts and or blessings for others
    in the last month?
  6. In what ways do you see yourself making disciple?
  7. How can we be praying for you this week?

March 17

Questions for March 17 th :

  1. How has God been working in and around you this week?
  2. What questions came up for you from the text and/or teaching today!
  3. If you read chapter 14 verses one to 11 you see, there were a number of kings that gathered together to war against
    Sodom. Abram and his men took on these kings and won. What does this teach us about Abram and his “tribe”?
  4. What do you think Abraham’s motivation was to go and rescue his nephew Lot?
  5. In verse 18 we meet Melchizedek a king, and also a priest of God, most high, Yahweh. What does this teach us about
    God about his actions throughout the region the land of the world? How do we apply these truths to our day?
  6. Abram gave Melchizedek a 10th or a tithe. What kind of message is this for us? How important should the idea of
    tithing be for us today?

March 10

Questions for March 10 th :

  1. How has God been working in and around you this week?
  2. What questions came up for you from the text and/or teaching today!
  3. In verse 2 we read, Abraham have become very wealthy and livestock and in silver and gold. Was this a
    blessing from God? Or something he acquired apart from God’s desire for him?
  4. At the end of verse three, we read the statement “and Abraham, called on the name of the Lord” What does
    this mean to you? is this something we do or something unique to Abram?
  5. What type of wisdom did Lot use in making the choice of where he would take his flocks? Do we use this
    method at times? Is this healthy or is there a healthier way?
  6. What do you think caused Abram at the end of chapter 13 the first pitches 10 and then built an altar, instead
    of what he did the first time, building an altar, and then pitching his tent? What causes us to live like this at
    times

March 3 – Story of Abraham

Questions for March 3 rd :

  1. How has God been working in and around you this week?
  2. What questions came up for you from the text and/or teaching today!
  3. Abram was called to leave his family/community…. seems like God calls him to an
    individual decision. What is the importance of individuality community? When does one
    become a priority over the other?
  4. When God told Abram he would bless him. What do you think that means? And what
    does it mean for us to be a blessing to others? Is it the same as God’s blessing to us or
    something different?
  5. There’s a famine in the land, so Abram heads to Egypt. Is this him using the brain that
    God gave him or is this him acting in a way that’s not trusting God? How do we know
    the difference?
  6. What do you think Abrams ‘s motivation when he lied about Sari being his wife? Is there
    ever a time when lying would be healthy?

Book of Genesis –

1. How has God been working around you and using you this week?

2. What Questions came out of the text or teaching for you this week?

3. How would it be known that Sari was barren?

4. The Rabbis teach that Abraham was chosen, because he cared less about himself and his name, and he did about redeeming others. How do we find a balance between being that kind of person and still taking care of ourselves?

5. Genesis 11:31 tells us that Tehran took his family and headed to Canaan. Why do you think they were going there?

6. The end of verse 31 tells us that Tehran did not make it to Canaan, but to Harman and they settled there. where have we heard the word settle before? What is the theme that we’re seeing here?
