Book of Genesis – February 18

Questions for February 18 th :

  1. What has God been teaching you this week? How has he been using you?
  2. What questions came up from the scripture or the teaching this morning?
  3. What do you see as the main reason God is telling us the story of the tower of Babel?
  4. What do we learn from the idea that the people wanted to settle yet? God chose to scatter
    them?
  5. In verse number six the Lord comes down and says “if as one people speaking the same
    language, they began to do this …. What do you think he meant by this?
  6. The rabbi is considered the book of Genesis a story. Chapters one to 11 they called the preface
    of the story in chapter 12 we will read about Abraham and God‘s connection with him
    and the development of God people. If the first 11 chapters are a preface, what are the
    main themes that we’ve seen in this preface?

4. Noah places a curse on his Son. Are curses used today? Are they wrong? What might their purpose be?

3. The wickedness of Noah’s Day led God to regret that he made the world. Do you think God feels differently today? Why or why not?

4. Knowing that there are many flood stories what do you believe was God’s purpose of including the story of Noah and scripture?

5. What is meant in chapter 8 verse one that God remembered Noah. How can we apply this to our own lives?

    woman saw that was also desirable for gaining wisdom. Where did that
