  1. How have you seen God working this week and how has he used you?
  2. What Questions arose from your reading of the text and or the teaching today?
  3. In verse one God tells Moses what he is going to do. Do you think Moses believed
    him or not? Did this affect the way that Moses acted? Why do you think
    that……Second part of the question does this kind of thing ever happen to you; where
    God tells you what he is going to do?  What do we do with this information? Does it
    affect the way we live?
  4. In verse two God tells Moses he appeared to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but I did not
    make myself fully know to them. What does that mean to you? Why would God not
    make himself fully know?
  5. What was Moses trying to say to God by stated he had Faltering Lips – verse 12?
  6. Looking back what are your biggest takeaways in the first 6 chapters? Do any of
    these affect the way you live your life?

  2. With what you know about Pharaoh and his Spiritual Life what did he mean by “I do
    not know the Lord and I will not let Israel go.”
  3. God told Moses to go to Pharaoh and when he did things got worse for the Israelites.
    Why would God allow this to occur? What does this mean for our lives?
  4. How would the Israelite overseers get a voice with Pharaoh?
  5. What do you believe God wants us to learn from this chapter to apply to our lives?

  3. Moses asked what if they do not believe me, and God gave him some miracles to
    preform…. What does that teach us about God? What does that mean in our life?
  4. What do you take away from the importance of the “Firstborn”? What does this mean in
    our lives?
  5. Why do you think God just did not give up on Moses when he had all the questions and
    reasons, he could not do what God wanted?
  6. In verse 24 we begin the strange story where God wants to kill Moses. What are your
    takeaways from this Story. What might God be teaching us?

  6. Why did God tell Moses to say he wanted to take the people for a 3-day journey?

  3. Why do you think Pharaoh’s daughter kept Moses even while her father was
    commanding that baby boys be killed?
  4. Moses was born Hebrew and raised Egyptian. What identity issues might this cause of
    Moses?
  5. What are your takeaways from verse 12, “Looking this way and that and seeing no one,
    he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.”?
  6. Reuel’s daughter stated that Moses was an Egyptian, what did she see that gave that
    away? What might have Moses been thinking?
