  1. 1. What has God been teaching you this week? How has he used you? What did he impress on you with todays message?
  2. 2. When you stop to realize that God has chosen you to be his temple, his dwelling place; how does that change the way you think and/or act throughout the day?
  3. 3. We are gods people called by his name/character. As people watch your life, what are the character traits of God that they would most see?
  4. 4. God calls his people to humble themselves/empty out ; pray/turn toward him; turn away from wicked ways. On a daily basis, which of these three is the biggest challenge for you?
  5. 5. How can you best help someone whose temple/life is in a pile of rubble?
  6. 6. In this passage, God is talking to Solomon. He says if he walks faithfully God will establish his royal throne forever what has faithfulness “established” in your life.

4. In Matthew 5:3 Jesus talks about the Poor in Spirit. Why, How and When to such inherit the Kingdom of God?

5. If Humility is “Emptying Out” what might you need to empty out?

  1. How has God spoken to you, used you or what did he share with you during
    the message today?
  2. What is it that causes “branches” to not bear fruit? How does this speak
    into our spiritual lives?
  3. Scott shared that the only time a branch was an individual was when it was
    “cut off”. How has the understanding of Community grown in your life over
    the last few years?
  4. The Psalmist says in Psalm 139, “Search me O God” how might you
    guarantee that this “search” is the most accurate?
  5. How do you manage your daily life/schedule so that God has the ability to
    speak into it?
  6. When we talk about our Identity in Christ, what have been you most

Identity in Christ – January 22

Identity – Week 4 – January 22,2023

  1. How has God spoken to you, used you or what did he share with you during
    the message today?
  2. When you think of being adopted today; what are the lessons we can learn
    about being adopted into God’s family?
  3. The dilemma that Paul speaks about in Romans 7; knowing what we want
    to do but then doing what we do not want to do; In chapter 8 he says with
    Christ this dilemma was resolved? Why is it still a struggle then?
  4. Selfishness can derail us from God’s plan; what is the ways you have
    learned to deal with selfishness?
  5. In verse 14 Paul says about the “Old way of Life”, “The best thing to do is
    give it a decent burial and get on with the new life? What would this look
    like? Is this what baptism is suppose to be? Why does the old life seem to
    live again?
  6. What would have to happen in your life to wake up each day not thinking
    about what you had to do, but focused on hearing from God on what he
    would have you do?

Identity – Week 3 – January 15, 2023

  1. How has God spoken to you, used you or what did he share with you during
    the message today?
  2. What is the difference between Confidence and arrogance/cockiness or
    thinking you are all that?
  3. Have you ever moved away from an opportunity feeling like you might fail
    or not be good at it? What is the difference between this and realizing it is
    not in your gift mix?
  4. How do you try and help someone who lacks Confidence?
  5. In Joshua 1:9 God said to Joshua, Have I not commanded you, be strong
    and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your
    God will be with you wherever you go? Joshua was about to lead Israel
    through the wars to take the promise land. Do you think he ever forgot this
    truth? How do we walk in this regularly without forgetting it?
  6. What do you see as the main difference between a Growth and Fixed
    Mindset? How might we develop growth mindsets in ourselves and others?
