- What questions came up to you today as we read the scripture and heard in the teaching?
- What issues did the Israelites struggle within this chapter that we still struggle with today?
- How should we understand God giving the people what they demanded even though it led to judgment? Does this passage support the idea that God sometimes answers prayers as a form of judgment?
- We’ve said we would love to have God lead us with a cloud: would we like Gods anger expressed in the same way as the Israelites experienced it? What might this passage teach us about God’s anger?
- Moses needed help with leading the people…. What burdens might you be carrying that you need help with?
- Why did God deal differently with Moses complaints than the people’s complaints? What does Moses’ emotional breakdown reveal about the burden of spiritual leadership
