  1. Where have you seen God working this week and how has he used you?

  3. Whom does God seem to saddle with the responsibility of restitution?
  4. How does restitution and forgiveness go together? Or do they?
  5. God says he is a compassionate God in verse 27. But inverse 18 and 19 he asked for
    people to be put to death and in verse 22 God says he will kill someone who takes
    advantage of widows and the fatherless. How do you reconcile this?
  6. What did God mean in verse 31 “you are my holy people “. Is that true for us today?
    What makes us holy?

  3. How might looking at the 10 Commandments as a preamble change the way we review the rest of
    the law? And Do you think we should read the law as if it applies to us today or does Christ do
    away with the law?
  4. Scott shared with us two Hebrew words Misphat which is translated laws, ordinances, or
    judgments, And Tzedeck which is translated, righteous or righteousness. How might these words
    be important to our understanding of the law? 
  5. Which of the laws we read today stood out to you as the strangest and what do you think God is
    teaching through it?
  6. If you had to look over this chapter and say there was an overarching message, what might it be?

  3. Think of the 10 Commandments as a Katuba read through each of the Commandments
    and how would you read it or understand it as wedding language?
  4. What does God mean in verse five that he has a jealous God punishing the children for
    the son of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate him but
    showing love to 1000 generations of those who love him and keep his Commandments
  5. What does Moses mean in verse 20 when he says “do not be afraid God has come to test
    you so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.
  6. What was God’s purpose in verse 22 to 25 what is the emphasizing to his people?
