  2. What questions do you have from the Christmas Story we read today?
  3. What are the Adversities faced in the Christmas Story?
  4. The Bible does not teach us that anyone in this story questioned or
    complained about adversity. Do you think this is a reality or just something
    that we really don’t need to know about?
  5. Are adversities a test of God or   A “curveball” from Satan or something
    else.
  6. What are some adversities that you’re facing right now?
  7. How can we be praying for you today?

  1. How is God used you this week?
  2. What questions arise for you from the Christmas Story we read today?
  3. How do you envision the interaction between Mary and the angel who have
    gone?
  4. What does Mary’s experience with an angel and the fact that she carried
    Jesus in her womb teach us about Mary’s father in light of the blood
    covenant we spoke of in Genesis?
  5. Do you think Mary and Joseph were surprised that God spoke to them? Do
    we anticipate that God might speak to us?

Book of Genesis – November 24

Questions for November 24 th :

  1. How have you seen God working this week? What opportunities did you have to join him?
  2. What questions arose from the text or teaching?
  3. Jacob died and Joseph had his body taken care of and Egyptian fashion not a Jewish fashion.
    This seems to have happened because Joseph had been in Egypt so long he was more Egyptian
    than Israeli. What are some things that we accept in ways other than God might desire them to
    be?
  4. When Joseph took his father back to Israel to bury him, why do you think he didn’t stay there but
    came back to Egypt instead?
  5. Joseph told his brothers you meant for evil against me but God meant for good. When Joseph
    was sold into slavery, he might not have said that. What criteria do we use to label something
    good or bad?
  6. What have been some of your major takeaways from the book of Genesis?
  7. How can we be praying for you this week?
