Questions-Exodus 39 November 2 nd :

  1. What has God taught you this week?
  2. What questions came up for you today from the teaching or the Text?
  3. Today we take a laid-back view of church dress (i.e. people in shorts and preachers and
jeans) how do we square this with the detail God gave us an Exodus 39?
  4. What are your thoughts about what we read in Exodus 39 when it comes to Priestly
garments as compared to what we read in Pagan Christianity. (As Christianity became
institutionalized (especially after Constantine in the 4th century), leaders began
adopting Roman imperial dress to show authority and status. Over time, this evolved
into clerical vestments — robes, collars, and other garments — that were borrowed from
pagan and imperial customs, not biblical mandates)
  5. In verse 43 we read that Moses inspected the work and saw they had done it just as the
Lord had commanded so Moses blessed them. What form do you think this blessing
took? What does this teach us that God’s blessing is in response to?
  6. Could this kind of leadership, service, building, occur in the church today? Tell us why
    you think so?
  7. How can we be praying for you this week?
